The process of direct digital printing on fabric has been adapted from the signage and advertising industries. Over the years, wide-format Ink-Jet printers have been adapted for specific use with fabric, to allow direct printing onto continuous rolls of cloth.

Here at DIRECT DIGITAL PRINT, we use industry-standard fabric dyes to allow us to print onto a variety of fabrics.

DYES: For direct printing with natural fibre fabrics, we use acid dye for silk and reactive dyes for cottons. For sublimation (transfer) printing with polyesters fabrics, we use disperse dye. Acid dyes are also suitable for direct digital printing on nylon.

Using the correct dyes for specific fibres gives us superior colour and wash-fastness on all our base cloths.
